Experience counts…
Life experience that is
I left school with very few qualifications. To be perfectly honest I liked my school (Lewis Boys, Pengam) but it failed to assist me in my two great ambitions. One, to be a Marine Biologist or two, a designer or artist or illustrator (I wasn’t sure which at the time). All I knew was I could draw quite well and had a good imagination so I thought there must be a way of earning a living out of my talent. What I didn’t realise at the time was that I was showing all the signs of a serial entrepreneur.

Those words from the Deputy Headmaster rang in my ears for years. He’s dead now.
